Job Summary The Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting the accounting department with various tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting. Tasks may include invoice processing, resolving vendor accounts, system data processing, and general bookkeeping activities.
Job Location This is a remote role based in the United States.
Job Responsibilities Assist with customer invoicing by attaching packing slips for proof of delivery and communicating with plant dispatch for signed packing slips. Request Certificates of Insurance (COI) for jobs as needed. Resolve blocked billing invoices by researching issues and correcting items in SAP. Run bi‑weekly planned cost reports for manufacturing cost visibility. Assist in the month‑end closing process. Assist in data cleansing activities in SAP. Assist in researching and resolving Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) issues. Assist in researching and actioning items with receipts posted but not an invoice. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Job Requirements High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of basic accounting math and accurate in data entry with 10‑key operation experience. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using a complex ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.). SAP experience preferred. Strong organizational and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, in‑person and by telephone. Prior experience in a manufacturing company is a plus. Attention to detail around producing high‑quality products and meeting deadlines.
