*Job Overview*
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that improves functional outcomes and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and evidence-based practices
* Provide direct therapy services and interventions in accordance with established plans of care
* Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and home programs
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation (evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, discharge summaries)
* Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, payer, and accreditation requirements
* Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Common Treatment Areas
* Articulation and phonological disorders
* Expressive and receptive language disorders
* Cognitive-communication deficits (e.g., memory, attention, problem-solving)
* Voice and resonance disorders
* Fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering)
* Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
Qualifications
* Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* Current state licensure (or eligibility)
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred (or Clinical Fellowship candidate considered)

* Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills

* Ability to build rapport with patients and families
* Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
* Outpatient clinic / rehabilitation setting
* May involve standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility or positioning
* Flexible schedule depending on patient volume and clinic needs
Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
