Role & Responsibility: Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
Perform ongoing accounting and bookkeeping support services for our clients under the direction of a Certified Public Accountant
Reconcile client bank account and credit card statements
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
Process accounts payable, bill payments, and accounts receivable as applicable
Communicate directly with clients via meetings, email, and telephone
Monitor in-house and external deadlines to ensure compliance
Assist with monthly and year-end close processes
Collaborate with OAAS team members and follow firm workflows and standards
Skills & Experience Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
Two or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred, certification is a plus)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, computer experience, including Word and Excel
Knowledge of clerical bookkeeping principles and practices, including processing payroll and reports, general ledger reconciliations, financial statements and the keeping of financial accounts and records
Ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under a tight deadline
Prior experience with accounts receivable, payable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, payroll and small tax return preparation
Strong communication and client-facing skills
