Position Summary The Human Resources Intern will work closely with the Director of People and Culture learning the fundamentals of managing day-to-day people operations activities to include HRIS management, employee file management and recruiting. Our HR internship program is geared toward students interested in a generalist role or more specifically interested in HR technology and HR operations.
Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining HRIS including updating employee files
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process to include posting jobs, culling resumes, scheduling and conducting phone interviews and participating in monthly new hire onboarding activities
Assist with developing and analyzing staff surveys
Additional administrative tasks as assigned by Director
Eligibility Criteria
Part-time or full-time college student (undergraduate junior/senior year or graduate student) enrolled in a Psychology, Human Resources or Industrial Organization program
Must be available to work 20-25 hours a week (core hours on weekdays between 10AM-4PM EST)
Qualifications
Must be seriously interested in Human Resources and/or Organizational Development as a discipline
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; tech savvy
Comfortability working remotely and not intimidated by the use of new technology
Must be interested in the work of AFSP
