Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve as technical advisor for the Mission Platforms and Software Development Division, responsible for the sustainment and development of Global Nuclear Treaty Monitoring hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
Overview Open & closing dates 03/24/2026 to 04/06/2026.
Salary: $126,711 to $164,729 per year.
Pay scale & grade: GG 14.
Location Few vacancies: Patrick AFB, FL. Remote job. Telework not eligible. Occasional travel may be required. Relocation expenses may be reimbursed.
Duties
Technical Oversight and Senior Program Management.
Strategic Representation and Stakeholder Engagement. Serves as the division’s primary technical authority and representative in engagements with a wide variety of installation, functional, and external organizations.
Digital Transformation & Program Integration. Serves as the principal advisor to the Materiel Leader on the integration of modern software development, digital engineering, and advanced technologies to enhance mission effectiveness.
Requirements
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
May be required to work irregular duty hours, nights and/or weekends.
U.S. Citizenship Required.
All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two‑year DCIPS trial period.
PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide.
Employee may be required to work outside normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
Employee must maintain current certifications.
Disclosure of Political Appointments.
Leave accrual may be authorized upon request.
Qualifications This is a GG‑1101‑14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The duties correspond to the “Senior” work level equivalent to GS‑14. Qualifications include specialized experience and knowledge as outlined by OPM standards.
Specialized Experience: Applicant must possess quality level experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful performance of this position, including extensive work in program/project management, systems development, or systems engineering.
Knowledge of acquisition laws, policies, principles, and practice of program management, contracting procedures, and technical concepts.
Advanced communication skills, both oral and written, for producing reports, position papers, and briefings for senior leadership.
Expertise in DoD and Air Force requirements, strategic program alignment, performance management, and financial/programming guidelines related to AFTAC program management.
Ability to gather and analyze program information to plan, organize, integrate, and manage acquisition program support activities, including knowledge of agile acquisition pathways.
Knowledge of manpower resource principles, safety and security regulations, and procedures for protecting classified information.
Conditions of Employment
Position is special‑sensitive and requires eligibility for SCI, other intelligence‑related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret SAP. A non‑disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic drug testing.
Education There is no education qualification requirement.
