Substation Engineer - Protection & Controls 100% Remote | Direct Opportunity with ExecuPOWER. ExecuPOWER is growing and we are looking for a talented
Substation Engineer - Protection & Controls
to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key technical contributor, working closely with project engineers, designers, and clients to deliver industry-leading substation projects. What You'll Do
Partner with P&C Designers/Drafters to develop protection & control drawings and documentation
Collaborate with internal and external project teams across multiple disciplines
Provide technical support for procurement and construction
Engage with clients, building strong relationships and delivering on project needs
Develop key deliverables such as: One-line & three-line diagrams
Control, alarm, and communication schematics
Panel front views, wiring diagrams, and control house layouts
Equipment and P&C specifications
Bills of material, I/O mapping, relay settings, and design calculations
Perform engineering calculations including: DC battery & charger sizing
AC/DC system analysis & station service sizing
Overcurrent protection, voltage drop, CT/VT sizing
Short-circuit & arc flash analysis (preferred)
What You Bring
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of substation engineering experience (more experience welcome)
Strong foundation in protection & control design and analysis
PE license not required, but pursuing licensure is a plus
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and client focus
Willingness to travel occasionally for client site visits
