General Information RaceOn is looking for a
Trackside
Performance Engineer
to analyze data, optimize vehicle performance, and sharpen race strategies. You’ll work side-by-side with race engineers and drivers to turn telemetry into a competitive advantage - on and off track.
Your profile ✅
Education & Experience:
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Motorsport, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience in performance engineering in Formula E, F1, WEC, or similar high-level motorsport categories.
Strong expertise in vehicle dynamics, tire behavior, and control systems.
Proven trackside experience, collaborating with race engineers and drivers to fine-tune vehicle performance.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Cosworth/ MoTeC/ Atlas, etc).
Experience with lap time simulation tools and simulator environments.
Strong capabilities in MATLAB and other engineering analysis tools.
Python skills for automation and analysis
Knowledge of measurement technology and telemetry applications.

Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills—able to work efficiently with teams at the track and remotely.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous performance optimization.
Time flexibility and willingness to travel advantageous but not necessary.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
Work location:
USA | Significant travel for races/tests
