Job Summary The Business Analyst Intern will support Cisive's business operations and product teams by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and contributing to enhancements in our background screening and compliance solutions. This role will assist in documenting business needs, evaluating system workflows, and partnering with cross‑functional teams—including Product, IT, Operations, and Compliance—to deliver data‑driven insights. This internship provides hands‑on experience in enterprise analysis, requirements development, and process optimization within a highly regulated industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for product enhancements, system updates, and operational initiatives.
Support analysis of existing workflows to identify improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Help develop user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Participate in stakeholder meetings, capturing notes, follow‑up actions, and requirements clarifications.
Conduct data analysis to support recommendations and validate business assumptions.
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and documentation of results.
Compile reports and dashboards to support business insights and decision‑making.
Collaborate with Product and IT teams to support system enhancements and ensure accurate requirement translation.
Maintain organized documentation and adhere to Cisive's security, privacy, and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
Basic understanding of business analysis concepts including requirements gathering, process documentation, and workflow design.
Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, or other diagramming applications.
Experience with data analysis or business intelligence tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate in a remote‑team environment.
