This position will demonstrate and apply product, domain, or technical expertise to maximize the quality of testing for a development team. Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Identify opportunities for improving processes, training and tools and make appropriate recommendations to management.
Essential Tasks
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team Design, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools Identify, record, document, and track bugs Perform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as required Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy Intranet page owner responsibilities Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes when appropriate Apply sound judgment and ethical standards when using AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human-in-the-loop oversight Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Experience
6+ years professional experience Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems A thorough understanding of administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language a plus
The pay range for this position is $66,000-$79,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
