Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our respiratory care department. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a range of acuity levels, including emergency, critical care, step-down, and general medical-surgical units. In this role, you will perform respiratory assessments, interpret clinical data, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans. Your daily responsibilities will include administering and monitoring oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and non-invasive and invasive ventilator support. You will manage and troubleshoot ventilators and related equipment, respond to rapid response and code blue situations, and assist with airway management, including intubation support and weaning protocols. The RRT will accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines. You will actively participate in patient and family education, teaching proper inhaler use, home oxygen and equipment safety, and disease self-management strategies for conditions such as COPD, asthma, and other pulmonary disorders. Working at Piedmont Healthcare means contributing to a culture of respect, innovation, and teamwork. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other allied health professionals, supporting a shared commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care. You will also play a role in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention practices, and the safe handling and maintenance of respiratory equipment. Piedmont Healthcare is dedicated to professional development, offering ongoing training, education, and the opportunity to expand your clinical skills in specialty areas such as critical care, pediatrics, or emergency medicine. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, adaptable to changing clinical priorities, and comfortable caring for diverse patient populations. Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or emergent situations are essential. This is a full-time, on-site role within our Georgia facilities, providing the chance to build a rewarding career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families across the communities we serve.
