Requirements: 3-5+ years of experience in report development, specifically using SAP Crystal Reports Preferred experience with Viewpoint Vista or Viewpoint Spectrum ERP systems Expert-level knowledge of SQL for efficient database querying, joining tables, and performance optimization Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server/Oracle), data modeling, and best practices in data visualization Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or SSRS is beneficial Background in the Construction or Manufacturing industry is an advantage
Responsibilities: Design, create, and maintain intricate, interactive reports, dashboards, and documents (invoices, purchase orders) using Crystal Reports from 2013 to 2020 Customize and seamlessly integrate Crystal Reports into the Viewpoint Vista/Spectrum environment, including the development of report pointers, security setups, and report scheduling Write efficient SQL queries, views, and stored procedures (T-SQL or PL/SQL) to extract and manipulate data from Viewpoint relational databases Collaborate with Finance, Project Management, and Operations teams to turn functional specifications into technical reporting requirements Diagnose and resolve issues related to report performance, data discrepancies, and user access Maintain thorough documentation of report design, data mapping, and user guidance Offer training and ongoing support to end-users for report usage and data interpretation
