Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Weekend Option (WEO) Night shift team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As part of a respected, non-profit healthcare system serving communities across Georgia, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to diverse patient populations in an acute-care hospital setting. Working primarily weekend night shifts, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, implement and adjust therapy plans, and deliver treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, and emergency airway support in collaboration with physicians and nurses. You will monitor patient responses, interpret arterial blood gases and other diagnostic tests, and document all care accurately in the electronic medical record. In this role, you will respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies, codes, and rapid response calls, assisting with intubations and ventilator management while adhering to evidence-based protocols and hospital policies. You will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and optimize patient care plans, provide education on respiratory equipment and disease management to patients and families, and support safe discharges through clear instruction on home therapies when applicable. Piedmont Healthcare fosters a culture of respect, innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning, and you will be encouraged to participate in quality improvement initiatives, competency training, and ongoing professional development. As an RRT on the WEO Nights schedule, you will benefit from a consistent, predictable weekend-focused work pattern while playing a vital role in ensuring 24/7 respiratory support for patients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, critical-thinking therapist who is comfortable working independently on nights, prioritizing multiple acute needs, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive environment where every team member is valued for their expertise and dedication to excellence in patient care.
