divh2Assistant Manager - Store/h2pThe Assistant Store Manager assists in the management of the retail facility. The Assistant Store Manager should know the necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in their absence, on a short-time basis./ppSupport the Cavenders Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values/ppAssist in the management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates/ppKnow necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence/ppAssist in the day-to-day operation of the store/ppAssist in the training of new store associates/ppAssist in the preparation of store reports/ppMaintain an awareness of safety/security issues and report any accidents or incidents occurring during the Store Managers absence to the Store Manager promptly/ppUnderstand and implement company policies and procedures/ppAssist in the effort to increase sales, maintain profit structure and reduce controllable expenses/ppOpen and close store as directed/ppAssist in performing daily check-ups and making bank deposits/ppAssist in the maintenance of interior/exterior store image and appearance (including staff appearance)/ppAssist in the maintenance of all records and files/ppReview and correct timecard exceptions and missed punches, and approve payroll/ppAssist in the practice of shrinkage control through preventative measures and through legal prosecution (when possible) upon catching anyone stealing from the company/ppAssist in resolution of personnel/customer problems and complaints/ppAssist in all other duties considered usual and customary in the retail apparel/footwear industry/ppAssist store manager in all other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors or home office/ppUnderstand all reports generated by the home office and coach all associates the actions needed to ensure compliance to goals (i.e. ADS / UPTs / Payroll / Refunds / Turnover)/ppAbility to comprehend basic instructions/ppAbility to interpret documents/ppAbility to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks/ppAbility to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond/ppAbility to analyze information and write reports/ppAssociate must be able to read English./ppAssociate must be able to understand English/ppAssociate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned/ppCavenders is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
