Base pay range $107,800.00/yr - $150,600.00/yr
About the role Delta Dental of Arizona (DDAZ), the state’s #1 dental and vision insurance company and leading health and wellness company, is seeking a Product Manager. This role will report to the Director of Planning and is key to enabling DDAZ in providing a caring customer‑focused experience supported by innovative technologies and services that reflect our high standards of excellence.
As the Product Manager, you will support the development and enhancement of insurance products that meet evolving customer needs, regulatory requirements, and operational capabilities. You’ll serve as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution, translating market insights, stakeholder feedback, and compliance mandates into actionable product features and delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities
Support development of product roadmap for assigned offerings.
Align product features with business goals, customer experience, and compliance standards.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning.
Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
Assist marketing with the development of product go‑to‑market strategy.
Metrics & Performance
Develop strategies and tactics to define the offering, and further optimize and create value in the category.
Utilize data analytics tools and platforms to extract insights and inform decision‑making.
Create detailed reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Monitor and evaluate adoption rates, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operational efficiency post‑launch.
Provide suggestions to adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate product plans, updates, and progress as appropriate to executives, customers, and partners.
Facilitate feedback loops with brokers, clients, and internal users to refine product features.
Serve as liaison cross‑functionally (legal/regulatory, underwriting, claims, marketing, group services, commercial growth) to operationalize new products.
Collaborate with peers to create internal training and serve as in‑house subject matter expert on assigned product.
Vendor relationship owner, if applicable.
Respond to post‑launch feedback and implement adjustments.
Additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the Life and Disability insurance industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field and/or relevant work experience.
Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulatory environments, and digital platforms.
Understanding of the product lifecycle and ability to define and refine a product’s value proposition based on customer pain points and competitive landscape.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desire to jump in and learn new concepts to share with others.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with eligibility and billing structures, enrollment platforms, and workflows.
Strong understanding of life and disability marketplace, benefits, and target audiences.
Preference given to candidates with related life and disability insurance knowledge and experience.
Experience in bringing new products or capabilities to market.
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data and business intelligence from all sources to build cases for product innovations.
Proven experience in product development and management.
