divh2Medical Assistant/h2pA Medical Assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions./ppShift Details: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk Monday to Friday, hours depending on clinic needs)/ppWork Sites Clinic Locations:/pulliHenderson, NV/liliLas Vegas, NV/liliMesquite, NV/liliPahrump, NV/liliBoulder City, NV/li/ulpAdditional Details: This position has accountability for providing patient care while supporting multiple specialties in an ambulatory clinic settings. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs working 8-10 hour shifts through a Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Must be willing to do both front and back office duties and have reliable transportation./ppAs a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:/pulliProviding Patient Care: Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patients visit and condition./liliEffective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions./liliTeam Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliSuccessful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification must be provided upon hire)/liliOr at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)/liliOr current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state/liliCurrent Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date/liliDemonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry./liliProfessional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills./liliAbility to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction./liliAbility to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers./liulliUtah Only: If certified with less than one year of MA experience, caregivers may attend a yearlong MA residency program/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliExperience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting./liliComputer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software./liliCurrent national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA/li/ulpLocation: Nevada Central Office/ppWork City: Las Vegas/ppWork State: Nevada/ppScheduled Weekly Hours: 40/ppThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
