Sales Representatives initiate and manage relationships with customers and serve as the point of contact for the Company. This position will be responsible for developing Wood coating sales in a specific geographic territory. In this position, you will secure new accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts. You will utilize professional selling tools for pre-call planning and documenting sales calls. You'll develop a territory market strategy, as well as conduct product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons.
Additional Details:
This position will require at least 50% travel.
Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. This position is eligible for health benefits, such as medical, dental and vision coverage, Flexible

benefits include a generous time away from work package, including personal leave, paid parental leave,
medical leave, vacation, and holidays.
Full-time regular employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are eligible for:
- 0-10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, including 1 floating holiday
- In the year of hire, 3-13 paid vacation days, prorated based on hire date, including a minimum of 3
frontloaded paid “flex” days which can be used for unplanned absences, such as sick days. - Non-exempt employees who work within the state of Washington will accrue paid sick leave at an
accrual rate of 1 hour per every 40 hours worked - Employees who work within the city of Seattle, Washington will accrue paid sick leave at a rate of
1 hour per every 30 hours worked - 4 workweeks (on a 12-month rolling calendar period) of paid Military leave for employees who are
absent from work due to service in the uniformed services - 5 days of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of an immediate family member and 3 days
of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of any other family member - After one year of employment, two weeks of Paid Parental Leave following the birth, adoption, or
placement of a foster child

Develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, opportunity, new and existing customers
Effectively build relationships with customers
Conduct product demonstrations to support solutions for the customer
Develop working relationships with stores to achieve business goals
Generate leads
Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required
Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs
Understand and promote company programs
Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
Maintain client records
Answer client questions about terms, products, prices, and availability
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel as required for this position
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience in business-to-business (“B2B”) sales
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience as a Commercial Branch Manager or Sales Representative for Sherwin-Williams
- Have previous work experience selling wood coatings (such as surfacers, stains, pigmented finishes, sealers) and related products
- Have previous work experience conducting outside sales calls
- Have at least an associate degree in business, sales, or marketing
- Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products
- Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems
- Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying value selling concepts and or continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma
