The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented, with a strong passion for patient care./ppResponsibilities:/pulliRooming the patient/liliInterview/update patients chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals./liliPrepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports./liliScanning documents to appropriate patient charts./liliMakes sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day./liliRefill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications./liliEnsures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patients chart./liliAssist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures./liliFollow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation/liliEducates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered./liliSchedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient./liliObtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed./liliMain fax line Distribute faxes to appropriate team member(s)/liliPerforms related duties as required./li/ulpBenefits:/pulli401(k)/lili401(k) matching/liliDental Insurance/liliDisability insurance/liliHealth insurance/liliLife insurance/liliPaid time off/liliVision insurance/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliCertified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program/liliTwo years of experience as a Medical Assistant/liliBilingual preferred - Spanish/liliExperience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred/liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills/liliAbility to multitask and prioritize effectively/liliStrong attention to detail and accuracy/liliProficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications/liliKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred/li/ul/div
