We are hiring immediately to lead a team of 5-6 continuous improvement engineers across 4‑5 customer sites. This role focuses on data‑driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation to drive performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
Responsibilities
Supervise and develop a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Define and execute a strategic CI plan, scorecards, and KPI action plans in partnership with operational and CI leadership.
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to translate Ryder Business System concepts into actionable improvements across all levels.
Lead value‑stream mapping, Kaizen events, and Lean tool implementation to identify and eliminate process gaps.
Manage and report on CI projects, ensuring sustained results and alignment with business objectives.
Develop advanced competency in engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards; coach their application.
Oversee QMS design, implementation, monitoring, and corrective action systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and certification support.
Coordinate internal auditing and quality assurance activities for start‑ups or expansions.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain the QMS in accordance with company and industry standards.
Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system.
Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements.
Oversee all functions related to quality assurance for new or expanding facilities.
Conduct internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance and certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) – intermediate preferred.
Expertise in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value‑Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S/Workplace Organization.
Proficiency in core engineering and data analysis functions (slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, metrics).
Knowledge of warehouse design tools (CAD, Slot3D, MOST) and warehouse management systems (Manhattan).
Understanding of material handling automation (PIT, racking, packaging, conveyor, AS/RS).
Familiarity with dedicated services and managed transportation networks.
Knowledge of transportation design tools (JDA, Llamasoft, OTM) and mapping software (Tableau).
Experience with HRM systems (Workday) and hiring/onboarding.
Knowledge of goal setting, performance management, and resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain).
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
10+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, transportation, or supply‑chain logistics.
Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) – expert required.
PowerBI/ Tableau and SQL – intermediate preferred.
Expert in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value‑Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S.
Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, and Lean methods.
Expertise in material handling automation and distribution equipment.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (required); cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS (preferred).
Travel 50‑75% travel required to customer sites.
