divh2PRN MA at BHMG Urgent Care Richmond/h2pThe MA will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices./ppDuties include:/pulliCheck in patients, obtaining vital signs medication reconciliation/liliPatient medical history information/liliNavigating electronic health record system (EPIC)/liliCommunicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians and will uphold Baptists mission and core values that drive service excellence./li/ulpMinimum Requirements:/pulliHigh School Diploma or General Education Equivalency/lili1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting required. Experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g. EKGs, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines)./liliOr Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, that includes hands on patient experience as part of the curriculum, required./liliUpon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation. Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the Medical Assistant Trainee Program for further development and evaluation./liliBasic computer skills, experience with EMR System a plus./liliBasic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire./liliBAT and DOT certifications required for Medical Assistants in Occupational Medicine within 90 days of hire./li/ul/div
