With the opportunity to develop existing business and hunt for new accounts, the Account Manager will be managing core customer segments while delivering top-line sales revenue and profitability for the company.
In this role, you will be using your collaborative skills, creativity, and experience to work with their sales, marketing, and vendor partners to help drive growth both within your assigned vertical markets and with existing customers. Top notch organizational and communication skills are essential for this role. You will have the opportunity to further develop relationships with their largest customers while driving sales strategies to acquire new business. ResponsibilitiesThere is limitless opportunity and plenty of room to grow within the organization. The following describes some of the core activities you will perform:
- Establish and maintain solid business relationships with key decision-makers at all accounts. Manage relationships with key influencers, understand the power structures, and hierarchy within each customer.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each account's business along with their operational strategies, processes, and needs.
- Research and identify new business opportunities, markets, and client leads.
- Generate new business leads through networking, outreach and referrals
- Attend industry conferences, meetings, and events to promote the organization
- Negotiate contract terms for new business deals.
- Collaboratively create and execute specific plans to allow the attainment of assigned targets, goals, and objectives at both the account and vertical market level.
- Serve as a significant contributor in the development and implementation of strategic customer and vertical market pricing, strategies, and objectives.
- Establish collaborative relationships with other departments (Marketing, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities with our customers.
- Develop and share new ideas based on sales trends and insights gleaned from time in the field and interaction with customers.
- Apply understanding of product portfolio, brand positioning and operational advantages to customers to acquire new business.
