divh2Nursing Assistant (NAC)/h2pThe Nursing Assistant (NAC) participates as a team member in the overall functioning of the clinic. The NAC is responsible for the flow of the patients each day and perform duties as described in the Primary Responsibilities section./ppThis is a.90 FTE onsite at our South Lake Union location. The days and hours for this position are variable./ph2Responsibilities/h2pPatient Flow/pulliRooms patients and families to patient care area/liliConducts clerical tasks, patient transport, cleaning and restocking of rooms, and other requests to maintain clinic flow/li/ulpPatient Care/pulliResponsible for patient care activities including, but not limited to: vital signs, ECG, patient ADLs, and patient transport./liliResponsible for and trained to use patient lift equipment/liliRecognizes symptoms of common medical illnesses, abnormal vital signs (including pain) and immediately escalates to RN and/or provider./liliDocuments vital signs and other patient information per policy/liliAssists with procedures as directed/liliRecognizes different types of isolation requirements and uses appropriate precautions./li/ulpCustomer Service/pulliDemonstrates behavior which maintains and respects patients rights and privacy, as well as promotes independence./liliDemonstrates sensitivity to patients/families emotional, social, and mental health needs./liliActs as a courteous, polite representative of Fred Hutch./liliCreates a safe and comfortable environment by demonstrating caring behavior and conveying confidence./liliPromotes and maintains effective communication as evidenced by:/liulliDemonstrating respect for the ideas, opinions, and feelings of others./liliSeeking help with problem-solving as needed./liliGiving and receiving appropriate feedback/li/ul/ulpstrong Fiscal Responsibilities: /strong/ppCharges for supplies and equipment appropriately./ppstrong Role Development: /strong/ppTakes initiative and responsibility for identifying and pursuing learning opportunities./ppstrong HIPAA Patient Privacy: /strong/ppDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Accesses and uses the minimum necessary employee and organization information to perform job responsibilities and duties and only for authorized purposes/ph2Qualifications/h2pstrong Required: /strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent/liliCertification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Washington required./liliCurrent BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course, such as by the American Red Cross) and renewal required every two years/liliKnowledge of human growth and development to modify care to age and developmental stage of the patient. Physically able to perform the tasks of the role, such as walking, standing, pushing, and bending; lifting patients, equipment and linen supplies; and performing nursing procedures./liliAbility to multitask, prioritize and problem solve/liliAbility to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner/liliAbility to follow direction and guidance/liliAbility to recognize limitations and seek help/liliAbility to identify learning needs and plan learning opportunities/liliAbility to appropriately respond to emergencies or disasters per clinic protocol and scope of practice/liliExperience with Electronic Medical Records/liliStrong interpersonal and customer services skills/liliAbility to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment/li/ulpThe annual base salary range for this position is from $58,989.00 to $83,969.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
