6 Months with possible extension Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule – onsite from Day 1 and required onsite 2 days/week NO remote-only option available Local candidates are strongly preferred Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense without delays All candidates must attend an in-person interview Interview Information: Interview Process: In-person interviews Tentative Interview Window: 5/25/26 – 5/29/26 Position Overview: The Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Migration Architect to support a large-scale enterprise AWS cloud migration initiative involving 30+ applications. The selected candidate will lead AWS platform configuration, Kubernetes/EKS deployments, CI/CD automation, and GitOps-driven delivery strategies while partnering closely with application development, infrastructure, and DBA teams. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitOps, and enterprise cloud migration best practices. Key Responsibilities: AWS Platform & Cloud Architecture Configure and manage AWS environments including: Elastic Beanstalk Amazon EKS EC2 RDS VPC IAM S3 CloudWatch Secrets Manager Design scalable and secure cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards Build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation Support RDS configuration for SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments Configure networking, security groups, IAM policies, and Secrets Management Kubernetes / EKS Administration Deploy and manage production EKS clusters Configure ingress controllers, autoscaling, namespaces, and Helm deployments Troubleshoot Kubernetes pods, services, networking, and cluster performance CI/CD & GitOps Design and build Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines using YAML Implement GitOps deployments using ArgoCD or Flux Build CI/CD workflows for: Elastic Beanstalk deployments EKS container deployments EC2/VM deployments Standardize reusable pipeline templates for development teams Integrate security scanning, SAST/DAST, and container vulnerability scanning into pipelines Observability & Reliability Configure CloudWatch logging, monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and operational runbooks Define SLOs, alert thresholds, and production support procedures Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with development, DBA, infrastructure, and architecture teams Create architecture decision records (ADRs), operational procedures, and technical documentation Mentor development teams on cloud-native architecture and deployment patterns Required Qualifications: 5–6+ years of hands-on AWS production experience Strong expertise with: Elastic Beanstalk EKS EC2 RDS IAM VPC S3 CloudWatch Secrets Manager 3+ years of Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred) Strong experience with: ArgoCD or Flux (required) Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML) Docker Terraform or CloudFormation Git Linux Administration & Shell Scripting Experience with Snowflake, containerization, CI/CD automation, and GitOps deployment strategies Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional CKA / CKAD Certifications Experience migrating .NET and Java applications to AWS Experience with: Istio / App Mesh API Gateways Vault / Secrets Rotation DataDog / New Relic / Splunk Blue/Green & Canary deployments
