divh2Certified Nursing Assistant/h2pCareerNation is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants on a full-time/per-diem basis for hospice patients in home care./ppLocation: San Antonio, TX/ppSchedule: 3-4 days a week/ppShifts Times: 7pm - 7am, or 7am - 7pm/ppStart Date: Immediate hire/ppCertified Nursing Assistants are responsible for many patient care tasks to ensure that each patient receives the comprehensive and personalized care they need./pulliProvides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals./liliProvides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints./liliMaintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information./liliProvides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor./liliDocuments actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records./liliMaintains work operations by following policies and procedures./liliProtects organizations value by keeping patient information confidential./liliServes and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements; and JCAHO standards./liliUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure./liliEnhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments./li/ulpCNA Skills and Qualifications:/pulliBasic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology/liliKnowledge of relevant nursing care/liliFriendly and professional bedside manner/liliMaintains current CPR certification/liliMulti-tasking skills/liliEffective oral, written, and reading communication skills/liliUnderstands legal implications of patient care/li/ulpEducation and Experience Requirements:/pulliCertification with accredited training course through the State of California and current certification through American Heart Association in Basic Life/lili2 years of nursing assistant experience/liliBLS/CPR Certification/li/ul/div
