Headcount Solutions are seeking to recruit a Process (Automation) Engineer for a clients pharmaceutical site in Dublin. Role Based in Dublin, the role will involve close collaboration with clients and cross-functional project teams throughout Ireland and Europe. Role Overview The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality automation and control system solutions for complex, fast-paced pharmaceutical projects. The role includes leading technical activities, supporting project execution, and contributing to the continued growth of the engineering project portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of functional requirements within an S88 framework. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers. Ensure all design activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in client meetings and workshops to define and develop project scope. Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams. Prepare detailed design packages and construction documentation for process automation contractors and system integrators. Support commissioning activities, FAT/SAT testing, and technical issue resolution during project execution and construction phases. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline. Approximately 8 years experience in Instrumentation & Controls engineering. Strong experience delivering projects within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector. Proven expertise in process automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Familiarity with GxP environments, batch process structures, equipment modules, unit phasing, process systems, and flow path design. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
