Job Description:
Own end-to-end solution design for integration use cases, including defining APIs, data flows, and system interactions aligned to API-led architecture principles. Translate complex business requirements into well-architected integration solutions, including decomposition into services, APIs, and reusable components. Make solution-level architecture decisions (e.g., integration patterns, orchestration vs. choreography, error handling, data transformation approaches) while adhering to enterprise architecture standards. Collaborate with enterprise and platform architects to ensure alignment with broader system architecture, governance, and reuse strategies. Design, develop, and manage scalable APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, Exchange, API Manager, Runtime Manager). Define and enforce API design standards, integration patterns, and MuleSoft best practices across the team. Perform advanced data transformation and orchestration using DataWeave. Ensure solutions meet federal security and compliance standards, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection requirements. Analyze vulnerability scan results and lead remediation efforts in alignment with security policies. Lead code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable implementations. Mentor and guide mid-level and junior developers, including reviewing and refining their design contributions. Drive CI/CD pipeline implementation and oversee deployment strategies across environments. Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and performance optimization for MuleSoft applications. Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for production integrations. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and deployment procedures. Act as the primary technical point of contact for integration-related discussions in Agile ceremonies, sprint demos, and client engagements. Identify technical risks, trade-offs, and dependencies, and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Build and manage System, Process, and Experience APIs that enable seamless data exchange with Salesforce. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years of integration experience, including 3+ years of MuleSoft development, OR Associate’s degree + 7+ years of integration experience, including 4+ years of MuleSoft development, OR High School Diploma/GED + 9+ years of integration experience, including 5+ years of MuleSoft development Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange) Deep understanding of API-led connectivity, RESTful API design, and integration patterns Advanced proficiency in DataWeave for data transformation Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) Strong understanding of solution design principles and how to align with enterprise architecture frameworks Knowledge of security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, TLS, and secure API design Experience operating in compliance-driven environments (federal, FedRAMP, or similar) Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce.
