The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to join a leading engineering contractor, playing a key role in delivering high-value infrastructure projects and driving technical excellence across design activities.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles Design Engineer, Civil Design Engineer, Structural Engineer, Temporary Works Engineer, Senior CAD Engineer, BIM Engineer, Project Engineer, Engineering Coordinator, Technical Engineer, Design Coordinator.
Your duties and responsibilities will be Oversee and coordinate external design consultants to ensure deliverables are produced on time and meet client specifications Act as a technical lead for design elements, monitoring progress and reporting updates to senior engineering leadership Manage design queries, requests for information, and workshop outputs while ensuring clear communication across project teams Review drawings and design submissions, ensuring compliance with project scope, processes, and required standards Support design programme management, maintain design schedules, and contribute to BIM coordination and document controlYou will have the following qualifications and experience Proven experience in both design and construction environments within engineering or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of design management processes, including technical queries and stakeholder coordination Knowledge of CDM regulations and Principal Designer responsibilities Experience working with digital engineering tools, including BIM and CAD processes Background in heavy civil engineering or tunnelling projects would be advantageousGet in touch now If you're seeking a new opportunity and think you have the skills and experience we are looking for, then apply now or contact Chris Hill
