As a CT/X-Ray Tech with Methodist Health System, you will greet and prepare patients for exams, verify orders and patient identification, obtain relevant clinical history, and educate patients and families about the imaging procedure to promote comfort and understanding. You will position patients accurately, select appropriate technical factors, and operate CT and X-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images while applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure. You will start IV lines as needed and administer or assist with the administration of contrast media according to established protocols, monitoring patients for reactions and reporting any concerns promptly.
You will work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and the broader care team to prioritize and complete imaging exams efficiently, particularly for urgent and emergent cases. Responsibilities include verifying and documenting exam information in the electronic medical record and radiology information system, ensuring accurate use of PACS for image transfer and storage, and following departmental protocols and quality standards. You will participate in routine quality control checks, assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, and promptly escalate problems to the appropriate technical or biomedical support teams.

Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to recognize urgent findings or changes in patient condition are essential.
