General Manager Palmerstown House Pub Location: Palmerstown, Dublin Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Brief Introduction Palmerstown House Pub is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy and welcoming pub in Palmerstown, Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all areas of the business, driving standards, supporting the team, and ensuring a consistently excellent guest experience. Key Responsibilities The General Manager will be responsible for: Overseeing the daily operation of the pub, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Leading, motivating, training, and developing the team. Maintaining excellent standards of customer service, food, drink, cleanliness, and presentation. Managing staff rosters, labour costs, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships. Driving sales, profitability, and overall business performance. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety, licensing, and employment regulations. Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally. Creating a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment. Supporting promotions, events, and local business initiatives. Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed at all times. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Senior Bar/Restaurant Manager in a busy hospitality environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Good commercial awareness and financial understanding. Experience managing rosters, stock, budgets, and KPIs. A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
