Über

Altru Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Altru Health System, is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and medical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. Working within an integrated, community-owned health system in Grand Forks, ND, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, and other members of the care team to deliver coordinated, evidence-based rehabilitation services.
The Physical Therapist will perform comprehensive assessments, establish measurable functional goals, and provide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, patient and family education, and modalities as appropriate. You will regularly reassess patient progress, modify plans of care, and document all services in accordance with regulatory, professional, and organizational standards. A strong focus on patient education, safety, and empowerment is essential, as you will help individuals and families understand their conditions, home exercise programs, and strategies to maintain or improve function.
Aligned with Altru Health System’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and community commitment, you will participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support evidence-based practice through ongoing professional development. You will also have opportunities to mentor or precept students, share knowledge with colleagues, and engage in projects that enhance patient outcomes and the rehabilitation program. The role requires excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of compassionate care.
