In this role, you will assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, and other vascular studies. You will be responsible for preparing procedure rooms, ensuring proper equipment setup and functionality, and maintaining a sterile environment throughout each case. During procedures, you will operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems, accurately capture and document data, and help monitor patient status, communicating changes promptly to the care team.
The Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS will interpret and record hemodynamic waveforms, assist with vascular access, manage contrast delivery equipment under physician direction, and adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. You will support pre- and post-procedure patient care, including verifying patient identity and consent, explaining procedures, assisting with patient positioning, and monitoring for complications following interventions. Diligent documentation in the electronic medical record and adherence to Methodist Health System’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards are critical aspects of this position.

Candidates should bring a solid technical foundation in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and the use of fluoroscopy and imaging systems. A strong commitment to patient safety, infection control, and radiation protection is required. This is a full-time, on-site clinical position in the cardiac catheterization lab, requiring flexibility to work weekdays, with the potential for on-call, weekend, or holiday coverage based on patient and department needs.
