Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Major Responsibilities Safety is a primary and crucial responsibility in each job performed. Technicians in this position are required to successfully complete all safety training; to obey all safety rules making safety an integral part of each task. This may involve working with individuals to complete Individual Hazards Analysis before beginning any new work as well as other actions aligning with integrated safety management protocols. Safety also includes the personal responsibility to 'stop work' if any task is either unsafe or may create an unsafe condition. Other responsibilities include:
• Under close supervision, work involves monitoring, inspecting, analyzing, and investigating electrical, electro-mechanical, and nuclear components, subassemblies, and assemblies associated with the manufacture of nuclear weapons and other non-nuclear components as applicable. • Performs basic set up, alignment, preventative maintenance, and/or calibration of conventional and machine-specific inspection tools and/or equipment. • Assists in performing quality assurance reviews to ensure all product specifications are met during fabrication (e.g., size, shape, etc.) • Works closely with product acceptance to implement required changes based on verification results. • May assist in investigating quality and/or manufacturing nonconformances and implement corrective actions appropriate for the identified deficiencies. • Performs work assignments with a high degree of accuracy in all phases of duties; produces legible, correct, and accurate records, inspections, and analysis and applies good judgment in the performance of assigned tasks. • Carefully adheres to operating procedures and other operating standards, with particular emphasis on those pertaining to Safety & Security; Precisely follows prescribed safety procedures in the handling of explosive, toxic, flammable, or otherwise hazardous materials. • May work with professional staff to establish new and/or improved procedures.

Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. Quality Control personnel verify products, processes, and systems meet quality standards and specifications through inspections, surveillances, evaluations, and other verification processes.
