Come join us We are hiring a Financial Accountant to be based at our Head Office in Drangan, Co Tipperary. Key Responsibilities will include : Managing the accounting function for different construction projects, reporting on actual project performance results against budget and CVR reports and assisting the Finance team with month end reporting for the Company. Assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting packs and annual statutory accounts. Acting as primary contact for year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation Providing objective financial insight, advice and opinions that positively impact business performance. Supporting transformation and process improvement activities from both a reporting and finance systems perspective. Managing the finance function for different construction and property development companies and building relationships with key stakeholders across Clancy Homes and Clancy Construction. Preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports and cashflow projections Ensuring all project costs are captured and recorded in respect to each contract. Managing and develop the in-house Accounts team Updating the Company cashflow for individual contracts for revenues and supplier and sub-contractor costs for each respective project. Managing taxation and regulatory compliance in partnership with external advisors Identifying any key project issues and determine actions required with the Finance Director. Qualifications/Experience This role will suit a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 2-6 years PQE, in industry or practice. Previous knowledge of and experience in the Construction industry is an advantage. Accounting technically minded with knowledge and application of IFRS and FRS 102. Good at working with Colleagues at all levels, building relationships and working in a team-based environment. Self-motivated with an ability to work on your own initiative, and minimal supervision. Good at problem solving and be solution orientated. Strong communication skills - oral and written. Fluency in English is required. Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with ERP software systems is an advantage. Good understanding of Construction contracts and revenue recognition accounting skills associated with same. Equal Opportunities Clancy is an equal opportunity employer.
