Methodist Health System is seeking a full-time CT Tech (CT Technologist) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting our mission to improve and save lives with compassion and high-quality care. As a CT Tech-FT, you will perform a wide range of routine and advanced CT imaging procedures for patients of varying ages and clinical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will ensure that each examination is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently, while providing a reassuring, patient-centered experience. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, reviewing patient histories, preparing and positioning patients for CT exams, selecting and optimizing scanning protocols, operating CT scanners and related equipment, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. You will follow established radiation safety standards and ALARA principles, apply proper shielding, and carefully manage contrast administration, including IV insertion, patient assessment, and monitoring for potential reactions. The CT Tech-FT will be responsible for assessing image quality, recognizing significant findings that may require urgent attention, and communicating effectively with radiologists and clinical staff. You will accurately document procedures, charges, and patient information in the electronic medical record, and ensure timely transfer and archiving of images via PACS. As part of Methodist Health System’s culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability, you will contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment, offering support to coworkers, helping to orient new staff, and participating in ongoing quality improvement, safety initiatives, and continuing education. This role typically involves rotating shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in an on-call schedule to support emergent imaging needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical CT skills, solid knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology, excellent communication and customer service abilities, and a calm, professional presence in high-acuity situations. An associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent, current ARRT (R) credentials, ARRT (CT) certification or eligibility within a defined timeframe, state licensure as required, and current BLS are expected. Previous CT experience in a hospital or emergency setting is preferred. Methodist Health System offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings options, and opportunities for professional growth within a respected Texas-based health system.
