Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Tech RDMS RVT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our comprehensive hospital network in Texas. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic and vascular ultrasound examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for a diverse patient population. Working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will provide imaging services that reflect our mission to improve and save lives with compassion and high-quality care.
As an Ultrasound Tech RDMS RVT, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, small parts, and vascular studies, using advanced ultrasound equipment. You will prepare and position patients, verify appropriate orders, obtain complete clinical histories, and optimize imaging techniques to ensure high-quality, reproducible images. You will recognize and document normal and abnormal findings, promptly communicate critical or urgent results to the appropriate providers, and ensure that all images and documentation are accurately stored in our PACS and electronic medical record systems.
You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to coordinate patient care and exam scheduling, ensuring that examinations are completed safely, efficiently, and with respect for each patient’s dignity and comfort. Consistent with Methodist Health System’s culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability, you will provide clear explanations of procedures, respond to patient questions, and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse cultural and emotional needs.
This position requires adherence to established imaging protocols, departmental policies, and regulatory standards, including infection control and patient safety guidelines. You will participate in quality assurance activities, assist with equipment care and basic troubleshooting, and contribute to ongoing performance improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and hold current RDMS credentials, along with RVT (or equivalent vascular) certification. Prior hospital-based ultrasound experience is strongly preferred, particularly in a setting that requires rapid assessment and close coordination with clinical staff. A current BLS certification is required. Methodist Health System offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement options, along with opportunities for professional growth within a respected Texas healthcare organization.
