Nursing Float Pool Full-Time Nights

The Nursing Float Pool offers a dynamic and collaborative environment built on trust, adaptability, and professional growth. Certified nursing assistants in this department demonstrate a high level of autonomy and accountability as they support multiple units and diverse patient populations. Team members are empowered to make sound clinical decisions, manage their assignments independently, and adapt quickly to changing needs. The Float Pool is ideal for certified nursing assistants who take pride in their independence, professionalism, and ability to thrive in a variety of clinical settings.

Schedule: 6:45pm - 7:15am, Night Shift, Full-Time (Shift Differential for 11p-7a; Float Pool Differential)

Location:

  • Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center
  • Novant Health New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience:
    • One year preferred.
    • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Completion of NAI program, required.
    • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
    • Medication Safety - AME, required.
    • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation
