My client is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Cork. This is a permanent role. Responsibilities Own and evolve the organisation's Identity and Access Management strategy across cloud and on-prem environments Design and implement secure authentication and authorisation solutions (SSO, MFA, RBAC, ABAC) Partner with engineering, product, and IT teams to embed security controls into core platforms and services Lead identity lifecycle management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews Monitor and respond to identity-related security risks, incidents, and vulnerabilities Drive continuous improvement of security posture through automation, tooling, and best practices Key Skills and Experience Strong experience in cyber security engineering with a focus on IAM in an in-house/industry environment Hands-on expertise with IAM tools and platforms (e.g. Azure AD, Okta, AWS IAM or similar) Solid understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect) Experience securing cloud-native architectures and modern applications Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence secure design decisions Background mentoring or supporting junior engineers and contributing to team capability development
