Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, contributing to our mission of improving and saving lives with compassion and high-quality care. As a key member of the cardiovascular services department, you will work side by side with interventional cardiologists and the cath lab team to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely care for a diverse patient population. In this role, you will prepare patients and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterizations, coronary and peripheral interventions, structural heart procedures, and related diagnostic exams. You will operate and monitor fluoroscopy equipment, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and other specialized cath lab technology, maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety and sterile technique at all times. During procedures, you will scrub, circulate, and monitor as assigned, anticipating physician needs, managing equipment and supplies, and accurately recording hemodynamic data and images. You will continuously assess and monitor patient status, including ECG, vital signs, and level of comfort, promptly communicating any changes to the physician and nursing staff and responding effectively to urgent and emergent situations. The Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS is responsible for precise documentation in the electronic health record, including procedural details, contrast usage, medications, and implanted devices, supporting quality metrics and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, anesthesiology, and ancillary staff in a fast-paced, highly technical environment that values integrity, compassion, and accountability. This position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety, infection control, and continuous quality improvement.
