Medical Director – Job Description
As Medical Director, you will lead both clinical and operational excellence in our practice. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of patient care, mentoring veterinary teams, and developing hospital protocols that support compliance and client education.
You’ll collaborate with the Hospital Manager on financial performance, staffing, and strategic planning—overseeing budgets, KPIs, scheduling, recruiting, and team development. You'll also drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, innovation, and growth.
Additionally, you'll support marketing and community outreach efforts, promoting client retention and practice visibility, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Licensure (or ability to obtain) in New York State
- Primarily experienced in small animal practice, with knowledge of mixed animal medicine
- Proven leadership or management experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to team development, high medical standards, and community impact
Compensation
- Base salary range of $115K-$150K
- Production-based bonuses
