*Job Role:*
The Group IT Manager leads the development and execution of the organisation’s IT strategy across multiple operational sites, head office functions, and remote workers. The role is responsible for overseeing all IT infrastructure, hardware, software, systems, networks, cybersecurity, and support services to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient business operations across the Group.
The purpose of the role is to work closely with department heads and key stakeholders to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver effective IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and employee experience throughout the organisation.
The role reports to the Business Excellence Director and works with Tayto Group (parent Company) Head of IT to share and deploy best practice. Governance and IT decisions are made at a monthly IT governance review.
This is a multi-site role requiring regular engagement with operational teams and local site management to ensure consistency of IT standards, systems performance, and user support across all locations. As part of these responsibilities, the Group IT Manager will be expected to travel between company sites approximately 1–2 days per month.
The role manages a team of 2: 1 IT Technician & 1 IT Apprentice
*What do we expect from you?*
* Provide and support hardware to ensure appropriate colleague communications systems and consistently available
* Provide technical support, onboarding and training for direct reports and the wider business.
* Manage IT suppliers and supplier contracts, including but not limited to telephony, data, software, hardware.
* Maintain the core business operating system to support business process.
* Business partner the functional directors to identify IT solutions to improve productivity of people and process.
* Monitor, measure and report on system performance and IT requests.
* Project manage IT business improvement plans
* Lead the IT business plans through approval and execution at the monthly IT Governance review.
* Propose, sign off and deliver against the annual IT budget.
* Manage and take invested interest in the development of the IT Support Engineers, providing guidance and support in addition to other measures as and when required.
* Investigate, implement and adhere to security policies and procedures.
* Protect the business from threats both inside and outside the organisation.
