Our client, one of Western New York’s most respected and stable employers, is seeking an experienced Application Architect to help drive enterprise modernization initiatives across critical business systems.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll define application strategy, guide modernization efforts, and influence long-term technology decisions across the organization.
What You’ll Do
* Lead enterprise application and integration architecture across multiple business domains
* Define current-state and future-state application architectures
* Drive platform modernization, system integration, and application rationalization initiatives
* Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
* Partner with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors on strategic initiatives
* Provide architectural oversight for implementations, integrations, and data migrations
* Evaluate enterprise platforms and recommend retain/retire/replace/modernize strategies
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of full-stack development experience, including technical leadership responsibilities
* 5+ years of application architecture or solution architecture experience
* Experience leading complex enterprise implementations and integrations
* Strong knowledge of enterprise application ecosystems, including ERP, HRIS, billing/CIS, and integration platforms
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with enterprise transformations, consolidations, or merger/acquisition integrations
* Background in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, or financial services
* Experience with cloud and hybrid enterprise environments
* Strong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
