Overview
This ServiceNow Architect role focuses on designing and leading complex, scalable ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules to drive business value and operational efficiency. You will partner closely with business and technical teams to define the platform roadmap and ensure alignment with best practices and governance standards. Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end architecture and design for ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, CMDB, and related applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to define architectural vision, implementation roadmap, and platform standards. Oversee customization and configuration to ensure scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe solutions. Architect and design integrations with third-party systems (LDAP, Active Directory, SAP, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, custom APIs) using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, and MID Server. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, enforcing coding standards and best practices. Optimize the platform for performance, usability, cost-efficiency, and CMDB/CSDM alignment. Define and enforce governance, security, access control, and compliance processes across the ServiceNow ecosystem. Serve as a subject matter expert for clients on ServiceNow architecture, process automation, and platform capabilities. Create and maintain clear documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides. Lead upgrades, patching, and enhancements to align with new ServiceNow releases while minimizing operational impact. Must-have qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, including 3+ years in a lead or architect role. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required. Expertise in ServiceNow architecture, design, and configuration across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, and CMDB. Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices, including strong knowledge of CSDM and CMDB design. Proven ability to maintain platform integrity, optimize performance and scalability, and enforce configuration and development standards. Strong knowledge of update sets, version control, deployment processes, and platform governance frameworks. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration) and mapping them into ServiceNow. Experience working in Agile environments and leading large-scale ServiceNow implementations. Preferred qualifications
Experience with ITOM modules such as Discovery, Orchestration, and Event Management. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their integration with ServiceNow. Experience with DevOps/CI-CD for ServiceNow deployments and automation tooling. Knowledge of advanced ServiceNow capabilities: Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, and Performance Analytics. Work details and eligibility
Location: Must be local to Arizona to support onshore/offshore collaboration and team standups. Work model: Remote-first, with occasional, optional travel for key client engagements (travel reimbursed). Engagement: Contract-to-hire, with a minimum 6-month contract and potential for earlier conversion based on performance. Relocation assistance: Not available; only local candidates will be considered.
