Senior Construction Manager
expert in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a background in commercial or energy performance with a focus on large projects. MEP and Solar experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and work with operations to ensure the project is built properly and within budget.
Provide leadership to junior project managers, helping them develop skills to become senior project managers, while overseeing their projects at a higher level. Assist in mentoring and development of individuals.
Work directly with the owner or customer and maintain a professional relationship to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Plan work during each project phase and collaborate with operations to maintain schedule and meet all benchmarks and deadlines.
Maintain a cooperative environment where all individuals have clearly defined roles, feel engaged, and motivated to achieve project goals.
Update management on the status of your projects and those of junior project managers assigned to you.
Use data to analyze project status, monitor costs, and project financial health.
Identify potential risks (schedule, safety, personnel) and work to mitigate their impact.
Ensure proper permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Identify areas for improvement to enhance reputation with employees, customers, industry, and communities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, chemistry, physics, construction management, or equivalent experience.
At least 10 years of project management experience.
Experience with estimating and accounting software for analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software.
Local experience preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and logical thinking skills.
Progressive experience in technical, administrative, coordination, and management roles.
