Senior Bookkeeper
who thrives on ownership, accuracy, and helping small businesses succeed right from the comfort of home.
This is your opportunity to work with a collaborative remote team, manage a variety of client accounts, and bring order and clarity to their finances. If you're organized, tech-savvy, and confident in your bookkeeping superpowers we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Own full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients in QuickBooks Online (and some Desktop)
Review financials statements produced by junior staff; provide oversight, corrections, and mentorship
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, Amazon, Shopify, and merchant processors
Close the books monthly and deliver clean, tax-ready financials
Handle light A/P, A/R, and payroll in QBO or third-party systems
Maintain vendor records and ensure 1099/W-9 compliance
Prepare and submit sales tax filings
Complete catch-up and cleanup projects for prior years
Build tax workpapers and review balance sheet accounts for accuracy
Communicate with clients via email and video like the trusted pro you are
Track time daily and manage tasks within budget
Mentor junior team members and contribute to team success
Collaborate on internal process improvement and share feedback with ops
Who You Are You're a bookkeeping powerhouse equal parts detail-driven, proactive, and people-savvy. You can juggle multiple clients, communicate clearly, and stay sharp in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Must-Haves
3+ years of recent experience at a public accounting firm (required)
3+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relatedor equivalent experience
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Comfort with remote, team-based collaboration
Bonus Points For
QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
Payroll experience
E-commerce bookkeeping (Amazon, Shopify, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits Salary : $55,000- $80,000/year (DOE)
Schedule : Full-time, 40 hours/week
Core hours: 8AM-6PM (your U.S. time zone), with some flex option
Minor overtime during peak season
