The Executive Accounting Manager will oversee accounting functions, perform specific accounting tasks, improve operations, and ensure accuracy and timeliness. This role supervises the accounts receivable and royalties accounting manager and collaborates with a part-time accounts payable clerk and inventory manager. This role is for you if: You are motivated and detail-oriented You can handle complex projects with multiple deliverables You enjoy working with accounting tools, databases, and spreadsheets You are an effective communicator and collaborator You are a self-starter aiming for efficiency and effectiveness You want to work for a mission-driven, collaborative company Experience and qualifications: Five+ years overseeing general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and monthly closes Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent training Deep knowledge of accrual accounting and terminology Proficiency in accounting software, databases, spreadsheets, and productivity tools Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Experience in entering data, creating reports, and ensuring accuracy Proven track record of responsibility and meeting deadlines Experience in book publishing is a plus but not required Closing notes: Berrett-Koehler's mission is to connect people and ideas for positive societal change.
