Water Treatment Technical Sales Support Service Technician – Anchorage, Alaska Garratt‑Callahan is a private, 120‑year old water treatment company that serves clients throughout Alaska. The role is based in Anchorage and is part of a territory that covers most of the state. The position supports existing customers and helps grow new business through technical service and sales support.
Job Responsibilities
Solve customers' water problems.
Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Perform detailed water testing and analyses at industrial sites such as commercial buildings, food processing plants, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and military bases.
Assist in selling Garratt‑Callahan's proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.
Help market corrosion and scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio‑augmentation, feed and monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products, and water safety programs.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Identify and bring on new industrial customers within the Anchorage territory.
Qualifications
4‑year science degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Paper Science, or Water Resources.
Technical sales experience or an internship related to water treatment chemicals preferred; outside industrial sales experience is a plus.
Must live in the Alaska territory, preferably in or near Anchorage, and have knowledge of the local industrial marketplace.
Benefits
Competitive base salary: $90,000 to $100,000 first year (based on experience).
Monthly car allowance of $675.
