Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and execution of training programs focused on Medicaid systems for internal and external stakeholders.
Supervise and provide leadership to the MTAC Training team, ensuring training materials meet quality and compliance standards.
Collaborate with OMI operations, technical teams, and HFS to enhance Medicaid training effectiveness.
Oversee the development of in‑person, virtual, and self‑directed training modules tailored for diverse audiences with varying levels of Medicaid experience, using effective adult learning principles; special focus on behavioral health providers, social determinants of health service providers, and other non‑traditional Medicaid service providers.
Maintain ongoing engagement with state agency staff, provider advocacy groups, and community organizations to assess training needs and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Develop metrics to assess training effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
Provide strategic oversight of the MTAC Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate efficient training delivery and tracking.
Represent MTAC at meetings, conferences, and training‑related engagements as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal and state Medicaid training regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, education, public administration, or a related discipline.
Five years of experience within the Illinois Medicaid program, healthcare training, or a related field.
Knowledge and Experience
Strong leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to manage training teams.
Proven ability to design and implement adult education training programs.
Experience conducting in‑person and virtual training for small and large groups.
Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations, policies, and Illinois’ implementation of the program.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Experience in Medicaid‑managed care programs.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training.
Appointment Information This is a Full‑Time academic professional position. The expected start date is 5/20/2026. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
Compensation and Benefits The budgeted salary range for the position is $90,000.00 – $110,000.00. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
This position is eligible for benefits, including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents.
