Position Summary The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an 18‑month program for working adults. Adjunct faculty design graduate‑level ABA courses. The primary affiliation of adjunct faculty is not with the university.
Specific Courses Winter Term (Jan 13 2025 – May 4 2025)
ABA60040: Behavioral Skill Assessments & Evidence‑Based Instruction
– Introduces common behavior analytic skill assessments and instructional strategies. Students learn to assess strengths and needs, and deliver evidence‑based instructional strategies. Competence in developing communication, adaptive, academic, leisure, social, and vocational skills.
ABA60050: Functional Behavior Assessments & Interventions for Safety‑Related Behaviors
– Provides information about functional behavior assessment and intervention strategies to reduce safety‑related behaviors and increase positive behavioral repertoires. Students gain competence in selecting, applying, and recommending functionally equivalent interventions across multiple settings.
March Term (Mar 9 2026 – May 10 2026)
ABA60020: Behavior Measurement and Research Methods in Applied Behavior Analysis*
– Covers basic behavior measurement and research methodologies with emphasis on single‑case research designs. Students develop competence in measurement, graphic representation, and data‑based decision making. Analyses and critiques of SCRD studies. Emphasis on socially valid research and protection of human subjects.
ABA60030: Ethics & Professionalism in Applied Behavior Analysis*
– Covers ethical and professional practice of applied behavior analysis. Students learn ethical principles, codes, and considerations for guiding ethical decision making and engaging in professional conversations.
May Term (May 4 2026 – July 5 2026)
ABA60000: Theory & Philosophy of Behavior Analysis*
– Examines historical, theoretical, and philosophical foundations of behaviorism and behavior analysis, emphasizing principles underlying practice and historical evolution.
ABA60010: Basic Principles of Behavior*
– Explores basic principles of behavior. Students gain competence in applying principles to reduce unsafe behaviors, promote skill acquisition, foster self‑determination, and improve quality of life within diverse cultural contexts.
ABA60040: Behavioral Skill Assessments & Evidence‑Based Instruction
– (same as above).
ABA60050: Functional Behavior Assessments & Interventions for Safety‑Related Behaviors
– (same as above).
Compensation Starting Pay: $39 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, ABA, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: At least three (3) years as a School Psychologist; experience in the relevant specialization. Preference for educational psychologists through the BBS (LEP).

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
Clear and concise communication of complex requirements.
Flexibility with workflow to meet departmental and student needs and manage multiple tasks by deadlines.

Administrative judgment and procedural decision‑making.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design graduate‑level ABA courses aligning with program learning outcomes and BACB 6th Edition Test Outline Content.
Develop syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments reflecting adult learning principles and best online practices.
Create asynchronous learning content.
Collaborate with Program Director, instructional designers, and faculty to ensure high quality, consistent course content.
Ensure all course content complies with professional and ethical requirements of the behavior analytic community.
Other Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibility: None. Contact Responsibility: Internal interaction with Program Director to receive support and guidance; Main communication between Adjunct Faculty and enrolled candidates. External: None.
