As the Supplier Quality manager EMEA (m/f/d) you will lead supplier and critical service provider quality activities across Europe to ensure purchased goods and services meet quality standards, in partnership with Purchasing.
You will ensure robust internal processes for managing external suppliers and service providers and maintain and continuously improve the Q System and supplier-related quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities: What you will do- Define quality objectives for suppliers and supplier management.
- Drive quality related activities in accordance to Power D3 linked to external suppliers (e.g. supplier releases via audits and PPAPs).
- Coordinate supplier audit plan and conduct quality audits at suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure that Supplier quality issues are resolved using an appropriate problem-solving methodology. Report on the status of 8Ds and ensure proper containment and corrective actions are taken.
- Support supplier risk analysis and supplier evaluation (input, improvement and execution).
- Support Purchasing in supplier selection.
- Support Engineering in development of material specifications and identification of critical/significant characteristics.
- Drive supplier development process.
- Report Key Process Figures related to external suppliers and service providers.
- Develop and maintain procedures relevant for supplier relationship linked to Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility.
- Maintain Relationship with suppliers to ensure communication.
- Ensure application, maintenance and continuous improvement of all Quality related documents needed to manage external suppliers.
- Support in setting-up structures/processes in the quality area, to ensure optimized interfaces and processes, continuously detect weaknesses in the quality system and initiate improvement actions with focus on supplier management (Process Management).
- Maintain incoming goods inspection control plans and supporting documents for suppliers.
- Facilitate Management Quality Reviews with suppliers who do not meet quality objectives or expectations.
- Support fulfillment of requirements in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility with corresponding assessments in the Supply Chain.
- Ensure proper management of Aftermarket Claims by driving proper resolutions with Clarios’ plants and DCs (by using a robust problem-solving methodology) to ensure Customer satisfaction.
- Develop (further) and maintain the process of Aftermarket claim handling and ensure proper reporting of relevant KPIs to all stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in applied Science
- Strong background in the quality management systems
- Min. 6 years of working experience, of which min. 3 years on quality related activities in a development and/or production environment
- Several years of experience in the automotive industry
- Trained in standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS): ISO9001 and IATF 16949
- Strong knowledge of relevant VDA standards
- Profound experience in application of QM tools and techniques APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, DOE
- Profound knowledge in PC software applications (Microsoft Office)
- Fluent English language skills
