Finishing Foreman Location: Cork | Full-Time | Permanent Salary: €60,000-€70,000 DOE The Company A well-established building contractor delivering residential and housing developments across the Munster region. The business operates as a main contractor on multi-unit schemes, with a consistent workflow secured through repeat clients and ongoing housing demand. Projects are site-led, programme-driven, and focused on achieving a high standard of finish at handover. The Role The Finishing Foreman will take responsibility for managing all finishing activities on site, working closely with the Site Manager and engineering team to bring projects through final stages and handover. Supervise internal and external finishing trades on residential projects Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and sequencing of works Interpret architectural and construction drawings and ensure works align with specifications Oversee workmanship standards across all finishing elements Manage snagging and de-snagging through to completion Maintain daily site records covering labour, progress and inspections Ensure works are carried out safely and in line with Irish regulations Support quality control inspections and handover documentation This is a hands-on site role with clear ownership of the finishing phase. The Person The role is open to experienced finishing supervisors from residential backgrounds. Typically 5+ years' experience in a finishing foreman or supervisory role Strong knowledge of internal and external finishing trades and sequencing Backgrounds may include Finishing Foreman, General Foreman with finishing focus, or Senior Trades Supervisor Comfortable managing subcontractors and direct labour Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications and method statements Good working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and BCAR Organised, detail-focused and practical in approach Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling required The Package €60,000-€70,000 salary, depending on experience 25 days annual leave Permanent, site-based role on live residential projects Steady pipeline of work within the housing sector Contact Colin Freeman for more information Skills: finishing foreman carpentry management plastering snagging Benefits: pension
