Vacancy ID : 040564 Closing Date : 02-Jun-2026 12:00 Vacancy: 040564 - Educational Developer Contract: Specified Purpose - 2 years Salary: Administrative Officer salary scale €60,611 - €78,796 (Based on rates effective 1 February 2026) SETU invites applications for a specialist Educational Developer within the Centre for Academic Practice, reporting to the Head of Centre for Academic Practice. This 2-year specified purpose post is central to advancing SETU's teaching and learning strategy and supporting curriculum innovation, inclusive pedagogy, and staff development across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Reporting to the Head of Centre for Academic Practice, the appointee will be a member of the team within SETU. This is a future-focused functional area, established to ensure consistency in programme design and development to meet the diversifying needs of learners across multiple modes of delivery. The postholder will provide strategic, operational, and specialist expertise in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), digital and blended learning, curriculum transformation, and staff capacity-building, including direct teaching and facilitation as required. This position supports initiatives such as SATLE-funded projects and the embedding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles across programmes. The role is open to candidates from academic, professional, or technical backgrounds, reflecting the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of SETU's teaching, learning, and programme development environment.
